My name is Tom.
I've been playing video games since I was about 4 (gameboy) and something clicked way back then. Since then i've been all about the games.
I currently work in the gaming industry in a QA position, and constantly build my video game collection to a near masterpiece.
When i'm not playing games, i'm usually either reading, or out with a dog or two.
Four years ago, I was talking to a co-worker about how I had a sizable gamerscore (we can call it bragging I guess...) and he took the douchey road of saying a very game-changing thing to me: "It doesn't mean anything if it isn't a platinum trophy"
Ever since then i've been playing my heart out on any Sony device that can grant a trophy. Quite often, i'll even play some of the classics they have to offer, that are trophy-less, but no less of a good time.
I've got around 2500 games on sony devices, a sizable number of which are duplicated elsewhere in my collection. If i'm playing a title that has trophies, i'll give a more than honorable effort to platinum it.
Fanboy can be a rough title to come to terms with. I can very easily however, say that I was at one point in time a hardcore xbox fanboy.
I've collected many different games for xbox, across all genres, and between the 360 and the xbone i have around 850 games.
While I still continue to expand this library, it has come to a point where I generally only pick and choose exclusives for the platform.
It is rare that i turn on what used to be my primary focus for gaming these days, but on request I have no issue flipping it back on to live through a game not available on sony's devices.
